A joint operation comprising of Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Border Police, Upington K9, Kuruman K9, Highway patrol and Crime Prevention resulted in an arrest of a 46-year-old for allegedly dealing in drugs.

The suspect was arrested on the morning of 22 October 2021, in Kuruman following a crime intelligence led information about the alleged drug dealing activities in Mimosa Ave, Kuruman.

The suspect was also sought by Hillbrow Police on charge of being in possession of drugs.

The team conducted a search and seizure disruptive operation at the said address.

During the search, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine (Tik), mandrax tablets, scale, cell phones, rings, necklaces, watches and keys to the value exceeding R400 000 and an undisclosed amount of money were confiscated.

Suspect is expected to appear before Kuruman Magistrate court on Friday, 22 October.
