Dagga dealers nabbed in cross border operation, Rosedale

The Joint Cross Border Operation, Operation Kutululuka in the Rosedale area yielded a great success after three alleged dagga dealers were placed behind bars. On Tuesday, 20 August 2019 the Rosedale SAPS, Upington SAPS, Upington Public Order Policing unit, K9 unit, South African Revenue Service and the Provincial Traffic held a roadblock on the N14 Road on the Upington/Keimoes Main Road.

The police stopped and searched random vehicles and arrested two females and one male with bags filled with dagga. The dagga weighs about 28 kg and has a street value of R140 000.

The suspects are aged 25, 36, and 45 years old and should be appearing in the Upington Magistrates’ Court on charges of dealing in dagga soon.

The ZF Mgcawu the acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Johnny Besnaar lauded the members for their vigilance and thanked all stakeholders for the excellent multi-disciplinary approach during this operation.
