The John Taolo Gaetsewe Crime Intelligence Unit played a crucial role in the arrest of two business robbers.

The Crime Intelligence Unit in Kuruman acted swiftly to information about a car which was used in a business robbery at Reivilo policing precinct in the North West province on 9 June 2017 at about 23:00.

Information was circulated and the Hyundai Accent car was spotted at Maruping Village outside Kuruman on 10 June 2017. Detectives from Reivilo and John Taolo Gaetsewe POP Unit members reacted swiftly and two suspects were arrested. The alleged vehicle used in the commission of the robbery was seized. Two firearms, two magazines, 12 rounds of ammunition, airtime vouchers and cigarettes were recovered at their hideout.

Major General Bean, the Cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe has applauded the POP Unit members, Reivilo Detectives and Crime Intelligence Unit members for their vigilance and swift action. Police investigations are continuing.
