The Pixley Ka Seme Cluster, intervention team closed down a shebeen and confiscated local brewed concoction beer in Victoria West, Northern Cape. In the early hours of Friday 1 March 2019, shebeen owner was arrested subsequent to be found dealing and brewing concoction beer.

The arrested came after the police gathered information regarding a house in Makwetabult, where the owner was brewing and selling the concoction beer. Upon arrival and search we confiscated 370 litres of brewed concoction beer. The shebeen owner has been arrested.

The Intervention Team proceeded to a house in Gouwblom Street, where three full mandrax tablets, two half mandrax tablets, eight quarter including five straws of crystal meth and cash to the value of R8 820-00 were confiscated. The suspects was arrested and charged with dealing in drugs.

He is set to appear before the Victoria West Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 4 March 2019.

Brigadier Adonis, the Cluster Commander of Pixley Ka Seme, commended the Intervention Team for closing down shebeen brewing concoction beer, including the arrest of the suspect arrested for dealing in drugs.
