Members of SAPS Search and Rescue Unit, K9 Unit, Corporate Communication, Provincial FCS Unit, Mounted Unit and community members continue with the search of a reported missing 2 year old child, who was reported to have been snatched by a man who attempted to rape her mother on Saturday, 21 April 2019 in Delportshoop.
The child has not been found yet and the SAPS team intensified the search.
However, the suspect appeared briefly before the Barkly West Magistrates’ Court on four accounts of attempted rape, housebreaking with intent to steal, housebreaking with intent to assault and kidnapping.
He has been remanded in police custody, as he will be applying for legal aid assistance tomorrow.
