Members of Calvinia Task Team and K9 made a breakthrough with the arrest of a Cape Town man found in possession of drugs in Calvinia. The suspect was arrested along the Ceres Karoo road after receiving information from community members.
The suspect was found in possession of 319 mandrax tablets and 27 hankies of tik estimated at R100 000-00. The suspect’s vehicle was also confiscated.
The Station Commander of Calvinia, Lt Col Van Wyk has applauded the members for the arrest of the drug leader.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Calvinia Magistrates court today. Police investigation continues.
