The Kimberley Tactical Response Team worked tirelessly to ensure that the man who bought one of the firearms which were reported stolen during a business burglary was retrieved. He was arrested too.
A man in his 30’s was arrested on 13 January 2019, following a lengthy negotiations with him to bring the firearm in which he had bought from suspects who are linked to a case of business robbery in Ganyesa.
The suspect was arrested earlier after he was requested to bring the firearm to the Kuruman police station. He alleges that the suspects sold the rifle to him. He was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
It is expected that he will join the other suspects in the dock on 14 January 2019.
