Burglary suspects nabbed with R120k worth of cigarettes, Kimberley

Three male suspects were swiftly arrested on Sunday 24 February 2019, at about 04:45, after they were found with alleged stolen money and cigarettes.

Sergeant Van der Merwe and Sergeant King of Kimberley Flying Squad were doing routine patrols in town when they were informed about an alleged burglary in progress. The two members swiftly reacted and found three suspects with the stolen money in bags and cigarettes packed in boxes.

The cigarettes recovered are estimated to the value of R120 700-00.

All three suspects in their late thirties were apprehended on the scene and are expected to appear before court soon on charges of business burglary. Police investigation continues.
