Britstown business robbery  suspects still at large
19 Year-old brutally murdered - Valhalla Park Cape Town

A 33-year-old man, Lawrence Mongezi Dayimani appeared before Britstown Magistrates’ Court on 18 August 2016 on a charge of business robbery.

It is alleged that the suspect entered one of the shops at Britstown with two other males and closed the door of the shop. Dayimani allegedly demanded cash at gun point from the victim while the other suspect pointed the victim with a knife. They further tied up the victim together with two other boys who were inside the shop at the time.

The suspects then allegedly fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, two cell phones and cigarettes. The police were called to the scene. One suspect was arrested a few hours later after two members who were off duty managed to respond to the call and chased one suspect that was about 1km out of town on foot.

Upon searching the suspect, two knives, 50 packets of cigarettes, a toy gun as well as two cell phones and undisclosed amount of cash were discovered. Dayimani is remanded in custody until 25 August 2016 for a formal bail application.
