The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit, SAPS Forensic Social workers and Matla A Bana Foundation held a presentation ceremony in Phillipstown on 24 November 2021.

Warrant Officer Valery Booysen from the FCS Unit in Philipstown led the team who handed over comfort packs to boys between the ages 10 and 13 years, who were victims in alleged rape cases.

Captain Ulla Spies, the SAPS forensic social worker and Phillipstown Station Commander, WO D Pietersen formed part of the delegation who handed over Matla A Bana sponsored comfort packs that consist of toiletries, clothes and toys.

The team also spoiled the kids with party packs.

The outreach was conducted under the 16 Days of Activism theme: “The Year of Charlotte Mannya Maxeke- 16 Days of Activism – moving from awareness to accountability”.
