The SAPS Search and Rescue Team recovered the body of a 19-year-old female, Klarissa Joubert, in the Orange River, near Orania. She was last seen on Thursday, 21 January 2021.
According to the report, the 19-year-old, together with her friends, were each using tubes on the river. The 19-year-old lost her grip on the tube and as a result, she drowned.
On Monday, 25 January 2021, the body of the 19-year-old was recovered in the Orange River by the SAPS Search and Rescue Team together with other external role players.
