A body of a woman was found in a canal near Kanoeneiland on Thursday, 24 December 2020. It has been confirmed that the woman is Johana Malgas (71) who was reported to have been missing in Leseding from Monday, 21 December 2020. The body was identified by her daughter.
The 71-year-old Johana Malgas went for a visit in the neighbourhood around 18:00 but she never returned home.
The police would like to thank the community for their assistance in this regard.
