The Heuningvlei Police followed up on information and arrested three men in connection with a business robbery that took place recently.
On Sunday, 03 December 2017 at about 14:15 the three men allegedly entered the shop and threatened the owner with a knife. The suspects allegedly through sand in the victim’s eyes, assaulted him and tied his hands and feet.
The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money, airtime vouchers, cigarettes and a cell phones.
The suspects were arrested hours later and all the mentioned goods were recovered. The suspects are between the ages of 20 and 22 years old and should be appearing in the Mothibistad Magistrates’ Court soon.
“The John Taolo Gaetsewe Cluster commander, Maj Gen Johan Bean commended the SAPS for the arrests and speedy recovery of the goods. The community is also thanked for their assistance in this regard. The Police will be out there in full force to ensure that everyone is and feel safe this festive season and beyond”.
