The South African Police Service welcomes the rape sentences that was handed down to Kuyasa rapist in the Colesburg Regional Court, recently. The accused known as Sinathemba Dick (36) was sentenced to twenty years direct imprisonment for the rape of a 50 year old female.
The incident took place on 27 May 2016, at about 22:00 in the house of the victim in Kuyasa near Colesburg. The accused was arrested two days later and was linked by his DNA. He was found guilty and sentenced on 10 April 2019.

“It also sends out a stern message and when you do crime, you will do the time. The SA Police Service will continue in our endeavours in ensuring that everyone is and feels safe during this Easter Holidays and beyond,” concluded Brigadier Adonis.
