An intelligence driven operation conducted in Petrusville by the Northern Cape Provincial Crime Intelligence, Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation(DPCI), De Aar Public Order Police (POP), Colesberg Visible Police (Vispol), De Aar Local Criminal Record Centre(LCRC) and De Aar K9 unit netted two females aged 42 and 58.

In the early hours of Friday, 15 July 2022, the team conducted a search and seizure operation at two premises in Papierblom and Kerk Streets in Petrusville.

Both suspects have been under police surveillance, as it was believed that they there were involved in drug activities taking place on their premises.

Crystal Meth and dagga including money to the value of R1 101-00 believed to have been generated through drug peddling were confiscated.

Ten small packets of crystal meth to the value of R250-00, including two pistol replicas, magazines and three Okapi knives found in possession of a 42-year-old female.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Petrusville Magistrate’s Court soon, on counts of dealing in drugs respectively.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Major General Kolisa Otola expressed her gratitude for excellent and successful operations conducted in the Pixley Ka Seme District.
