Police in Prieska have arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with the case of murder. It is alleged the suspect stabbed his wife to death at Ethembeni in Prieska on Friday, 29 January at about 12:45. It is reported the two were having domestic related problems. The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court on 1 February 2021 pending further police investigation.
Meanwhile, police in Jan Kempdorp have arrested a 73-year-old man in connection with the murder of his 56-year-old partner. Is it alleged the victim was stabbed with a knife during an alleged dispute. The incident was reportedly committed at Ganspan in Jan Kempdorp on 30 January 2021, at about 03:15.
The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court on 1 February 2021. Police investigations are continuing.
Partners are requested to seek assistance from religious leaders, social workers or elders when experiencing problems rather than resorting to violence.
