Two men aged 49 and 36 were arrested on N12 near Kimberley after being found in possession of suspected stolen livestock (pigs).

The suspects were arrested on 2 December 2017, after failing to produce documentation to corroborate the ownership of the pigs that was found on the back of the bakkie they were driving.

As part of police’s safer festive season operations, high and increased police visibility will be the order of the day.

The suspects will appear before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on a charge of possession stolen goods, on Monday, 04 December 2017.

The Northern Cape Provincial, Lieutenant General Peter Shivuri commended members under his command for clamping down on criminal activities during the festive season. “We will lock down and squeeze the space for criminals not to operate as they wish, and we are all over the show” he said.
