On Wednesday, 12 December 2018 the members of Campbell Police Station confiscated seven bags of dagga weighing 180 kg with an estimated street value of R100 000.

It is alleged that the visible policing members were doing their daily routine patrols when they noticed a suspicious car parked next to the road. Upon investigating, they found two males occupants and three bags of dagga stashed in the boot of the car.

While interviewing the suspects, one of them kept looking on the other side of the road and when police checked the area they found four more bags of dagga.

Both suspects aged 35 and 48 years are Lesotho Nationals and were arrested for possession of dagga. They are expected to appear before Campbell Magistrates’ Court on 14 December 2018.
