Woman seriously injured in panga attack, both arms broken, Derby

Just before 13:00 on the afternoon of 8 March 2019, Mrs Cecile Havenga was attacked at Derby, in the North West, in her house in Grobelaar street, by the son of the lady that does housework for her. She was attacked with a panga and suffered numerous wounds to her head and both her arms were broken! Her Husband who’s in a wheelchair is unharmed.

The suspect is still on the run and was seen fleeing through a farmers lands in the direction of Ventersdorp. He was wearing a yellow shirt, brown pants and had a red beenie.

Mrs Havenga is in a very serious condition in hospital in Koster.
