A 32-year-old woman is expected to appear in Bloemhof Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 February 2020, in connection with the murder of her 27-year-old partner. The suspect’s court appearance emanates after she allegedly stabbed her girlfriend, with a knife at Utlwanang Location outside Christiana.
According to allegations the suspect found the victim having a good time with another man inside the tavern and an argument ensued between the two ladies.
During the argument, the 32-year-old suspect allegedly took out a knife and stabbed the victim on the chest, she was rushed to a local clinic, but was declared dead on her arrival. Police were alerted by community members, who witnessed the incident and the suspect was arrested at the scene.
The Provincial Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, condemned the incident and urged members of the community to solve their conflict in an amicable way. He said police will work hard to oppose bail and ensure that the perpetrator is brought to book.
