On Monday, 28 May 2018, two suspects are expected to appear in the Mmabatho and Zeerust Magistrates’ Courts for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle and car hijacking respectively.
This is after the pair was arrested on Friday, 26 May 2018. The first suspect who is a mechanic, was arrested in Magogwe Tar village. That was after the police followed up on information and found him in possession of a Nissan Tidia. The said vehicle was hijacked in Zeerust on Saturday, 19 May 2018.
Further investigation led the police to Makhubung village where the second suspect was apprehended for car hijacking.
