On Wednesday, 14 December 2016, the fight against drugs achieved another success when Phokeng K9 Unit arrested two suspects at a house in Seraleng village near Boitekong for possession of drugs.

The suspects were arrested after the police got a tip-off that the suspect was suspected to be in possession of dagga. According to the information, the police went to the suspects’ place were upon search, they found small packets of nyaope as well as dagga all with estimated street value of R53 500 as well as an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects, both South Africans, a 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested. The arrests follows those that were effected in Mahikeng and Klerksdorp respectively on Wednesday, 14 December 2016.

Both suspects are expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 December 2016 for possession of drugs.
