Three farm attackers arrested near Koster
Farm worker and wife brutally assaulted

Three suspects between the ages of 24 and 30 are expected to appear in the Koster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 8 February 2017, in connection with house robbery. The trio’s court appearance stems from the arrest on Monday, 6 February 2017 after they robbed a farm owner, outside Koster.

According to information, three suspects arrived at the farm, pretending to buy cattle. While the farm owner was busy helping them, two other suspects joined them and one of the suspects took out a firearm and allegedly pointed the farm owner with it. It is alleged that they took the owner inside the house where the farmer and his wife was tied up with ropes. The suspects stole a laptop, jewellery, two firearms and a Nissan Bakkie.

Police were alerted and managed to apprehend three suspects. The vehicle, jewellery and laptop were recovered. Two suspects are still are still at large.

Investigations are continuing.
