Three arrested for stealing sheep in North West

Three men were arrested for allegedly stealing a sheep in Reivilo near Taung on Thursday, North West police said.

Colonel Emelda Setlhako said the three, aged 32 to 57, were arrested after the police were informed about the vehicle that was next to the road leading to Kuruman and when they police arrived at the scene, they found three suspects who claimed that the sheep belonged to them.

“Upon being asked, they could not provide any documentation nor provide any prove of ownership. Investigation into the matter continues.”

The trio was expected to appear in the Taung Magistrate’s Court on Friday, to face a charge of possession of stolen property.
