The battle against serious crime gained momentum, when an investigation steered by the Brits Cluster Trio Crime Task Team led to the recovery of cash that was hidden outside a house as well as the apprehension of three suspects on Tuesday, 24 July 2018, at about 14:30 at Belfast, Mpumalanga.

The cash was allegedly taken during an armed robbery that was reported on Saturday, 21 July 2018, at about 16:30. A truck delivering ‘atchar’ to shops around Damonsville was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by two suspects who fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects will appear before Brits Magistrate’s’ Court on Friday, 26 July 2018, for armed robbery.

The Cluster Commander of Brits, Major General Modisagaarekwe Mosimanegape, commended the police for their sterling job and leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that perpetrators of serious crimes face the full wrath of the Law.
