In an effort to discourage all crimes by providing a proactive and responsive policing service, South African Police Service (SAPS) members in Hartbeespoortdam arrested 27 year old Lucas Paradza at about 00:00 on Monday, 27 May 2019.
Paradza was arrested at Schambek informal settlement after the police reacted to information that led them to a house where the following suspected stolen goods were recovered: An HP Computer; three security hand radios, electrical tools, a laptop bag and six ammunition.
Consequent to the arrest, Paradza appeared in the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 29 May 2019, on charges of possession of suspected stolen property and illegal possession of ammunition.
He will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Thursday, 6 June 2019.
