A 35 year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Vryburg Magistrates’ Court on 12 June 2017 for stock theft.
The suspect’s appearance in court comes after he was arrested by the police in Atamelang on 9 June 2017. According to the information received, the police responded to a tip-off on suspected stolen livestock that was allegedly being loaded into a trailer.
They then approached the Landrover bakkie that was pulling the trailer allegedly on its way to Vryburg public auction when it was stopped.
Upon searching the trailer police found three cattle to the estimated valued of R30 000.
The suspect was immediately arrested at the scene and his bakkie and trailer were seized by the police
