Supra Mahulamphelo resigned as premier of North West after accusations of corruption and maladministration but he remains being a member of the provincial legislature and will still receive salary.

The announcement was made by the ANC. The reason is that he resigned only as premier and not as a member of the legislature. He may therefore continue to be a member of the legislature despite all the charges and accusations against him.

This is how they take care of the comrades, say political analysts.
