Stock theft, two suspects arrested in Pudimoe

The fight against stock theft gained success when police in Pudimoe arrested two suspects aged 25 and 29 for possession of suspected stolen stock.

The suspects arrest came after the police reacted swiftly to a tip off that the suspects were busy loading suspected stolen cattle onto a truck in Dryharts village on 09 August 2017.

Upon arrival, the police found the suspects in possession of five cattle. The suspects were apprehended after failing to account for the cattle. Further probe revealed that the cattle were stolen in Amalia where a case of stock theft had already been opened.

The owners of the cattle identified the stolen stock as theirs.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Taung Magistrates’ Court for possession of suspected stolen goods on Friday, 11 August 2017.
