North West: The police in Pudimoe are investigating cases of stock theft, murder and assault. This comes after the community assaulted two suspects they accused of stealing 11 goats.

The incident occurred in Moretele village near Dryharts in Taung in the early hours of today. The members of the community became aware of the incident and allegedly chased the suspects’ car which they managed to stop near Vryburg.
The suspects were allegedly taken back to the village where they were assaulted. Their car, that had nine goats carcasses inside, was set alight.

The Vryburg Stock Theft Unit was informed and they responded swiftly and managed to rescue two suspects from the community. However, one of the suspects was certified dead on arrival at Huhudi Clinic. The other suspect was given medical treatment and he is currently in detention for stock theft.

The police are still investigating cases of assault and murder against members of the community.

Another day in South Africa, another crime and another murder. It would seem that the community members are getting tired of all the crime and taking matters into their own hands.
