On 10 August 2017, six suspects aged between 23 and 40 are expected to appear in the Lichtenburg Magistrates’ Court on charges of theft.
The suspects’ court appearance stems from their arrest for theft of diesel, planters and other items all with estimated value of R50 000-00. The suspects allegedly stole from one of the farms in the vicinity of Biesiesvlei near Lichtenburg since 2014.
The matter was reported to the police in July this year and investigation that led to the arrest was instituted. It was during the arrest that Isuzu bakkie which was allegedly used to commit the crime was seized.
