The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation assisted by members of Mahikeng Public Order Policing arrested three suspects aged between 30 and 39 for illegal possession of dagga worth approximately R600 000 on Saturday, 22 February 2020 in Mahikeng.
The team received a tip off about the two vehicles traveling to Mahikeng. They two vehicles were spotted driving into a supposed storage facilities in Mahikeng and that’s when they were surrounded by police.
The vehicles were searched and six large bags of compressed dagga were reportedly found in one of the vehicles.
The suspects were arrested and they are expected to appear before the Molopo Magistrates’ Court on 24 February 2020.
