Protesters have set the Ottoshoop post office on fire, pelted the police station with stones and blocked the R49 near Zeerust with burning tires and debris.
The protest is apparently about electricity.
Already in the 8th day of 2018, it appears that the events of 2017 are starting to repeat itself with corruption, vandalism, and students inciting violence.
Meanwhile, the ANC president is visiting the Zulu king to lay wreaths at old terrorist’s graves.
