Potchefstroom: On 15 May 2018, seven accused, five males and two females aged between 32 and 55 were remanded in custody until 22 May 2018 for a formal bail application upon appearance before the Taung Magistrates’ Court.
The accused’s court appearance follows their arrest during a crime intelligence driven operation Saturday, 13 May 2018. That was after Vryburg K9 Unit, Stock Theft Unit Vryburg, Provincial Task team and Vorstershoop Visible Policing members followed-up information about a suspected rhino poaching planned to take place in a game farm near Mokooong.
