Petrol bomb duo in court for killing three people

The trial of Nicholas ‘Molefe’ Ntsimane and Letlhogonolo Mokgofa – accused of setting off a petrol bomb at a house that killed three people, one of them an eight-month-old baby – begins on Monday in the North High Court sitting in Rustenburg.

The two allegedly petrol bombed a house in Bester, Tlhabane on May 16, last year killing Kealeboga Segopa, 30, her daughter Kaboyaona , eight months-old and her mother Mmapula, 55.

The trio, who were rescued from their burning house by neighbours were taken to a local hospital, where they succumbed to smoke inhalation.

In another matter, former chief financial officer of the North West University, Bradley Freeman and his parents, Gert Rayman Freeman and Judick Freeman will appear in the North West High Court in Mahikeng on 34 counts of fraud and five counts of money laundering on Monday.
