A 30-year-old man was arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend and their two-year-old daughter in Taung, North West police said on Wednesday.
Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the man handed himself to the police on Tuesday, after he allegedly killed his 28-year-old girlfriend and their daughter at Extension 6 in Taung on Monday.
“According to information, the suspect then took the police to the crime scene where upon arrival, they found the victims lying dead inside the house, next to the toilet. The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage,” she said.
The man was expected to appear in the Taung Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, on two counts of murder.
