On Monday, 9 April 2018 two suspects aged 33 and 60 are expected to appear in the Mmabatho Magistrates’ Court on two counts of murder.

The suspects’ court appearance comes after the long arm of the law caught up with them on Friday, 6 April 2018 in Magogwe Tar village, Mmabatho. The suspects were nabbed following investigation of an incident in which Kegopotse Tawana and her daughter, Kelebogile were fatally shot in the evening in September 2015 at their place of abode at Magogoe Tar village, Mmabatho by unknown assailants.

The assailants then fled the scene with a laptop, cash and a cellphone after killing the victims.

The North West Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Ryno Naidoo commended the police and everybody who worked with them to ensure that the suspects are apprehended. He said that the arrest will send a clear message that the police are working together with the community and will show no mercy to ruthless criminals.
