More than 200 community members torch tuck-shop in North West

More than 200 community members burnt a tuck-shop in Koster outside Rustenburg on Friday, North West police said.

“The protesters are accusing the victim of kidnapping little children in Koster. The protesters also barricaded the Koster-Swartruggens road with stones and burning tyres,” said Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone.

“The police in Koster opened a case of public violence. At this stage, no one has been arrested and police are monitoring the situation.”

Community members wanted the police to arrest the tuck-shop owner.
