The body of Elsa Erasmus (74) was found on Sunday, July 2 after family and friends could not reach her by telephone the previous day. Elsa lived alone on her farm in the Schweizer-Reneke area.
It was on Saturday around 17H30 that a visit to the farm to check up on Elsa revealed a break-in, the house was ransacked, and her vehicle was also missing. The police and community security were immediately notified, and a large scale search for the missing woman began.
Between Amalia and Vryburg, the police and security found the dead body and her vehicle a Toyota Hilux bakkie was also found a few kilometers further on.
The police will investigate a case of murder and robbery, while the search for the suspects will continue.
