An enquiry was opened on Sunday afternoon, 20 September 2020, after a four-year-old girl was reported missing. According to information available at this stage, reports suggest that the little girl was last seen in the company of a man in the evening along the N12 road near Boitumelong Location. He was handed over to the police by a local pastor whom he allegedly confided in that he killed a young girl and left her body in the bushes not far from Boitumelong.

Investigation into the matter continues.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena expressed his shock over the killing of a four-year-old by the minor.
