A man, believed to be in his 20s, was killed yesterday afternoon after he was stabbed at a taxi rank on New Market Road in Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and were lead to the patient by the SAPS Mounted Unit.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a stable wound to his chest and showed no signs of life.
Paramedics immediately initiated CPR and advanced life support interventions.
Unfortunately, after 20 minutes, no vital signs returned and the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The cause of this incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
