A 39-year-old man was arrested for murder in Tigane near Hartbeesfontein

A 39-year-old man was arrested for murder in Tigane near Hartbeesfontein on Tuesday, North West police said.

Police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said the man allegedly killed a 42-year-old man between 3-4am.

“According to information, the police responded to a scene of crime at approximately 04:15 after getting a call about crime in progress at Lorraine Street, Hartbeesfontein. They were on the way when they met a man whose clothes had blood. The police took him to the police station and went back to the scene where they found a 42-year-old man lying dead, full of blood, inside his yard, but outside the house.”

Mokgwabone said preliminary investigations were conducted and it led to detention of the man whom the police had earlier met.

“He is expected to appear in Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court soon.”
