It came to light that Limpopo officials paid R166 million for a piece of land worth only R8 million.
The officials involved accuse the MEC of Cooperative Human Placement and Traditional Affairs, Makoma Makhurupetje, who exerted pressure on the transaction.
The Hawks are currently investigating the transaction.
