A 41 year old suspect is expected to appear in the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 26 August 2019, in connection with alleged dealing in drugs.

The suspect’s court appearance stems from his apprehension on Friday, 23 August 2019 after North West Organised Crime Unit and Tactical Response Team (TRT) discovered drugs like Kat and Crystal Meth with an estimated street value of R450 000.00 in his possession.

According to information at police disposal, the two units were conducting operation in Klerksdorp when they spotted and stopped a suspicious vehicle for a search. During the search, the police discovered drugs inside the vehicle. Further investigation led the police to the suspect’s residential place where more drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash were found.

The Provincial Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane applauded Organised Crime Unit and TRT for their collaboration for the bust. She said the police in the province will continue to track down and arrest alleged drug traffickers.
