A 38-year-old man accused of raping a patient at a psychiatric hospital will appear in the Molopo Magistrate’s Court in Mmabatho on Monday, North West police said.
Lieutenant Colonel Pelonomi Makau said the accused who is a worker at a psychiatric hospital in Mahikeng allegedly raped a 41-year-old mentally ill patient in a toilet at the hospital on September 2.
The accused first appeared in court on September 5. He was remanded in custody and his case was postponed to Monday, September 12, when he is expected to apply for bail.
