Two suspects between ages of 30 and 28 are expected to appear before the Mahikeng Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 August 2018, for possession of suspected stolen vehicle and suspected stolen property.
The duo’s court appearance come after they were apprehended on Friday, 17 August 2018 and Saturday, 18 August 2018. According to information received the first suspect was arrested on R503 for possession of suspected stolen vehicle. It is alleged that the Toyota Hilux which worth the value of R400 000, 00 was hijacked on Thursday, 16 August 2018, in Vryburg.
According to information the second suspect the 30 year old suspect was nabbed on Saturday, 18 August 2018, for a suspected stolen property after the police discovered stolen items at certain house in Mahikeng. Police found music systems, speakers, different kinds of cell phones and Plasma TV all to the value of R300 000, 00.
The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, congratulated the police units for their quick response and making sure that the suspected stolen vehicle was recovered.
