The accused’s court appearance stems from his apprehension on Sunday, 12 September 2021, after he handed himself over at the Hebron Police Station.

Initial investigation led the police to a shack in Itireleng Section, Hebron, where the body of a deceased female was found under the bed with a stab wound on her neck. She was identified as a 33-year-old Lebogang Mahlabahlaba Mokonyane.

According to the accused, the tragic incident happened in Saturday morning, 11 September 2021.

Thembiso Hokozani Khuzani appeared before the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 13 September 2021, for murder and will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Monday, 20 September 2021.
