In a bid to bring down the levels of contact and trio crimes, four suspects will re appear before the courts next week for an incident of murder.

Piet Pholoholo, 27, Jonas Moabi, 27 and Motsheke Moroke, 22, will re- appear in the Atamelang Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 8 August 2018, for the alleged murder of 39 year old Pule Hendrick Matsheng.

The accused’s court appearance follows an incident in which they overpowered Matsheng who was a shepherd, while warming himself inside a house at a cattle post in Vrich Gewaagde Village.

The accused allegedly strangled Matsheng and disposed of his body into a reservoir before stealing the goats that were in the kraal.

Matsheng’s body was discovered inside the reservoir on Monday, 30 July 2018, by a family member.

Through excellent detective work, the suspects were apprehended just after midnight on Wednesday morning, 1 August 2018. The suspects made their first court appearance on the same day.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane expressed her appreciation for a sterling job done by all police members involved in the case. She also thanked members of community for their cooperation.
