A farm murder took place in Rustenburg in the Moedwil Swartruggens area, in the North West province on 30 October 2018, at about 02:30. Asta and Machiel Kruger (50) were attacked. The attackers gained entrance through a kitchen window. Asta, Machiels mother, who is in her 80’s, was tied up has been severely traumatised and assaulted, sadly Machiel was murdered.
Three attackers shot Machiel whilst he was asleep in his bed and fled the scene. Machiel was a teacher at Zinniaville Secondary School. There is no other information available at this stage but police are investigating.
