A farm attack took place in Brits at Mamogaleskraal in the North West on 17 February 2019, at 02:20. A farmer was seriously wounded during the farm attack by three black male attackers. The man was shot in his left side and projectile went out on his right side. The farmer, returned fire on the attackers, one was left paralyzed and the other fled the scene wounded.
Two cell phones and two rifles were found at the scene. The farmer, Kasper Burger, is being treated in the Milpark Hospital. His condition is stable.
